About the Song

The Lerner & Loewe musical is an adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's 1913 play "Pygmalion". The Broadway show opened in 1956 on Broadway starring Julie Andrews and Rex Harrison.

It was adapted for film in 1964 with Harrison reprising the part of Prof. Henry Higgins. Audrey Hepburn played Eliza Doolittle with the songs dubbed by Marni Nixon.
