This antiwar song by Phil Ochs was 1st released on his 1965 "I Ain't Marchin' Anymore" album on Elektra Records. It was recorded in 1964.

The 2nd video was recorded live at the Gaslight Cafe in Greenwich Village in New York City in 1965.

  • Pete Seeger recorded the song as a single which was also released on his 1966 Columbia album "Dangerous Songs". Pete also performed it with fellow Weaver alum Fred Hellerman at the Phil Ochs memorial concert in 1976.
  • The Smothers Brothers recorded the song in 1967 on their TV show with the actor George Segal.
