Malia is a singer songwriter, instrumentalist, and sound engineer. Her work spans sacred chant, world, dream pop and folk music genres.
Her musical roots include classical music and women artists like Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, Ani DiFranco, and Alison Krauss. Not long after the release of her first album, Shores of Avalon, Tina met world chant artist Jai Uttal, who recruited her to sing in his Pagan Love Orchestra. It was through Jai that Tina was introduced to the spiritual tradition of Sanskrit mantras.
